Gertrude Finds the Perfect Holiday Wrap, 2005 Gertrude seems to have no buyer’s remorse as she dons her special holiday coat and beams confidently. And she got it on sale! The idea that she resembles a fully decorated Christmas tree hasn’t even crossed her mind or she would not have topped it off with a star. My inspiration for this doll was the holiday fashions that hit the stores around Halloween. They seem to get gaudier each year, yet who hasn’t fallen victim to that last sale of the season?
