Gordo and the Flowblockers, 2006 This doll was created for the NIADA gourd
challenge in 2006. I was not looking forward to doing the doll,
so before long it became
a creative “flow blocker” and eventually the weight
Gordo had to bear. His expression grew out of the task. The words
and phrases reflect my own personal flow blockers that distract
me from making my dolls. I love his grumpiness.
