The Sin, 2006
TAODA show “Sinners & Saints & Wisecracking
Women”
No, not Barbara Bush, nor
anyone else I know. These are just two characters from the pews
of any church on any given Sunday, one
dutifully focused on the pulpit, while another passes along a
tidbit or two. Each with their Bibles in hand, they sit on a
pew fabricated out of painted Fomecore and cloth. The ladies
are polymer and cloth and are about 12” seated.
This was a piece done for TAODA’s
first gallery show, which featured about 70 dolls, judged by
the fiber artist Kim Ritter.
The Sin was awarded First Place.
